Find and review duplicate customer records
Start duplicate detection with high confidence. Review matching company names, tax identifiers and supporting details before choosing a record to keep.
How can I find and consolidate duplicate Business Partners?
The scan compares selected partners with the same connection’s catalog. Names, tax identifiers, websites, email domains, phones and addresses provide evidence. A match is a suggestion to review.
Compare the records before choosing
Start with high-confidence matches
Groups can contain three or more records. Remove unrelated entries before previewing the chosen merge direction.
Exclude records before choosing the survivor
Keep the survivor’s populated fields by default. Copy missing contacts, addresses and supported bank details.
Clean up within records and follow results
Where available, three completed years of sales or purchases and separate payments help you choose the survivor.

Example: Duplicate detection and consolidation
Two customer records share a tax number and almost identical names. Compare their details, keep the appropriate customer and copy only the missing master data.
Invoices and transaction history stay on the original records. SAP customers and suppliers cannot be consolidated into each other.
